At TRANSEARCH International Deutschland GmbH (hereinafter referred to as TRANSEARCH), we take data protection very seriously, and work to protect your data in the most effective way possible. Therefore, we are pleased to inform you how your personal data are processed by our company.

3. Purposes of processing
We process your personal data for the following purposes:
- for handling internal company processes (incl. storage in our database)
- to process Executive Search requests (“application management”)
- to process requests and inquiries submitted by you
- to prepare offers/inquiries
- to provide information on our services, invitations to events, etc.
- to handle queries (by telephone/in writing/digital)
- to send our newsletter and press information
4. Legal bases of processing
The legal basis for processing your data results from
- your consent or, for newsletter delivery (according to Art. 6 para. 1 lit. a GDPR)
You may withdraw consent you have granted at any time. This also applies to revocations of declarations of consent submitted before the GDPR came into effect, e.g. before 25th May, 2018. Please note that the revocation has only future effect. Processing carried out before revocation will not be affected. You can request an overview of the consents you have granted at any time. - the fulfilment of a contract to which the data subject is a party, or to carry out pre-contractual measures (according to Art. 6 para. 1 lit. b GDPR),
- the fulfilment of a legal obligation (according to Art. 6 para. 1 lit. c GDPR)
- or from the safeguarding of the legitimate interests of TRANSEARCH (according to Art. 6 para. 1 lit. f GDPR), such as placing inquiries with credit bureaus, asserting legal claims and defending the company in legal disputes, ensuring IT security, preventing criminal actions, video surveillance to ensure our domiciliary rights and collect evidence in case of criminal actions, measures for building and system security (such as access control)
- in case of an application to TRANSEARCH in addition according to Sec. 26 BDSG (German Federal Data Protection Act) (new version)
5. Data transmission
Your personal data transmitted for the purposes indicated above (such as your name, address, contact information) are processed internally by TRANSEARCH or transmitted to our affiliated companies (in particular artec Personalberatung GmbH, our subsidiary specialized on mid-sized companies) and service providers for the purposes indicated above.
Any further transmission of your personal data to third parties is carried out only with your approval (in particular for candidates, transmission to our clients), unless we have a statutory obligation to do so or to protect the rights, ownership and security of TRANSEARCH.
To the extent that external service providers gain access to your personal data, we require that these implement the legal, technical and organisation measures necessary for ensuring compliance with the applicable data protection regulations.
6. Duration of data storage
We will only store your personal data as long as necessary to perform our services. This data will then be deleted, unless we have statutory obligations to continue storing it.
If we remain in an ongoing business relationship, therefore, we will delete your data after the relationship ends in accordance with statutory retention periods
7. Your data protection rights
You have the right to receive information about your personal data stored by TRANSEARCH at any time. Upon request, your data will be corrected if there are errors in stored data. At your request, TRANSEARCH will delete your personal data unless we are required to observe statutory retention periods.
You also have the right to restrict processing of your data. Furthermore, you have a right to object against the continued processing of your data, and the right to receive these data in electronic form.
In all such cases of information, rectification, deletion, restriction, data transmission or revocation, please get in touch with the contact address indicated above or the Data Protection Officer.
If you have concerns regarding the legal processing of your personal data by TRANSEARCH, you have the right to submit a complaint to a supervisory authority for data protection of your choice.
8. Your obligation to provide data
You must provide your data in order to process your inquiry. Data are provided voluntarily by you; we cannot process your inquiry without these data.
9. Automated decision-making (including profiling)
We do not use your data for automated decision-making or profiling.
10. Information on your right to object (Art. 21 GDPR)
You have the right to object to processing of your personal data pursuant to Article 6 para. 1 lit. f GDPR (data processing based on a balancing of interests) for reasons related to your specific solution; this also applies to profiling in the sense of Article 4 para. 4 GDPR based on this provision. If you object, we will no longer process your personal data, unless we can demonstrate compelling protected grounds for the processing that outweigh your interests, rights and freedoms, or if the processing serves to assert, exercise or defend against legal claims.
